Bucket List: Run a Half Marathon
“Run a half marathon!”
📝 It’s been on my bucket list a long time. Right up there with “Travel to 30 countries!”
Things that are neat to dream about, but probably won’t happen. 💭
💻 When interviewing my friend, Bill for a blog post about running last fall, he asked me if I would ever run a half marathon? I laughed. But, he made it seem possible and spoke real belief into me.
He told me how he ran for those who can’t.
The sick. The disabled. The deceased.
By the end of the call, I agreed to it.
The time came to start training. It was going well. Then life happened. My daughter had a medical scare and I spent all my spare time worrying and not training. Everything turned out fine with her, and I realized (yet again) how precious life is and if you want to do something great, you have to do something. 🙌
I was way behind with training, but I went for it anyway. My longest training run was only 5 miles. I was more scared than I’ve been in a long time.

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I saw a blind woman running with a partner, cancer survivors, and wounded veterans. It gave me goosebumps. ❤️
Thank you Bill for starting this and never giving up on me.
